Blake Thomas Brady was born in 1989 in North Carolina. His interest in art and design started as a fascination with both album artwork and cartoon characters. His early influences were album covers by The Beatles and the works of Storm Thorgerson. At a young age, Blake began to daydream about designing his own albums covers, and he also began drawing copies of his favorite cartoon characters and Pokémon. He took art courses all the way through grade school, and was initially an art major at East Carolina University, until switching his major to English. Blake was first introduced to Photoshop and other Adobe programs in middle school, and he used them to create discussion forum banners and avatars for people.
It was at East Carolina University, while working on his B.A. in English, where Blake got serious about doing artwork and design. He began by designing album covers, flyers, and promotional material for friends and local musicians. This led to many sleepless nights so that he could work on what he had become passionate about. The outcome of this hard work has been client opportunities with the likes of Little Big Brands, Zeds Dead, Animalweapon, and Undisclosed: The State v. Adnan Syed.
Currently, Blake is focusing on honing his craft and continuing to strive for more opportunities in the industry. He now has expanded his work to include album artwork, animation, electronic press kits, GIF creation and editing, graphic design, image editing, logo design, product packaging design and branding, typography, and video editing.
